'Universalization of European Civil Procedural Law. The Unilateral Extension of the European Civil Procedural Law on Third State Situations'



Johannes F. Bachmann examines the possibility of a unilateral extension of the EuZVR to third state situations. The central subject of investigation is the Brussels Ia Regulation. He comes to the conclusion that a universalization of European law is not only legally possible, but has many advantages compared to harmonization on basis of international treaties or conventions.
