Poverty in Africa is a sad reality, despite the efforts being done to reduce it. Urban poverty is a complex phenomenon and has many faces, causes and consequences. A multi-faceted and multi- disciplinary value- based approach that addresses the whole person, spiritually, socially, economically and politically,is urgently needed. This book therefore provides an overview of the factors influencing the operations of Micro- Enterprise Development in World Vision Kenya. The main argument is that the poor are able to transform themselves given the right tools and opportunity. A critical analysis of the operations, challenges, benefits, and measures of enhancing micro-enterprise programmes in World Vision Kenya have been discussed.
