The required technology for the structural design of offshore platforms is reachable but the required technology for offshore foundations is far beyond our current state of art in Iran. Therefore we will address the problem of sustainable development with emphasis on the foundation design in order to illustrate the bigger picture of foundation design of offshore platforms for readers and hopefully researchers in this field to encourage them to think out of the box.
