This thesis delves into the legal pitfalls of online dating contracts and examines in detail how these contracts should be classified. It critically scrutinizes the judicial decision regarding the application of § 656 BGB and questions whether this standard is constitutional. As a conclusion, this thesis shows that the application of § 656 BGB is not appropriate anymore and that it should be deleted without substitution.
