To experience the gentle grey giants close up,

I went to Thailand to visit an elephant camp.

It turned out to be such a unique encounter that

I felt inspired to write a children's book to tell the

almost fairytalelike events in rhymes.

It was also the love of elephants that crossed Margit's and

my paths and made us set out on this adventure together.

My travel companion and I spent an extraordinary

time with the elephants.
