'Nanomaterials: a potential threat? Challenges to European law. A study with particular focus on world trade law'



Nanotechnology promises outstanding technological potentials. However, possible negative effects for human health and the environment raise the question of adequate consumer information and risk regulation. The dissertation analyzes the EU-legislation governing this complex area and the most important scientifically discussed proposals for a further regulation and examines their consistency with EU-primary- and WTO-law.
