A human's genetic disposition is a major characteristic to reflect particular identity and consent incapable persons need increased protection because they cannot make self-determined decisions about an upcoming genetic test. They instead have to rely on the decision of their representative and can only trust that this decision reflects their interests. However, there are chances of opposing interests, like in the context of family-related genetic investigations, prenatal inspections, or in research.
