The 'Großraumtheorie' from Carl Schmitt in Comparison to the East-Asian Understanding of International Public Law



Carl Schmitts 'Großraumtheorie' criticizes public international law and tries to design a new hierarchical state order. Contemporarily to this publication a hieararchical state order was also propagated in japan. Conversely this was related to the sinocentric order that existed for millenia. The author tries to analyze these three models of public international law and to assess if there are similarities in their respective genesis and theory.
