The thesis raises the question of the applicability of labor law to top earners. Contrary to prevailing opinion, it comes after a study of systematics, history and teleology of labor law to the conclusion that here - in addition to the so called 'personal dependence' - economic criteria such as the merit also must be taken into account. The paper therefore promotes a more differentiated labor law of the future, which finds only limited application to top earners.
