How did National Socialism shape our contemporary ideas about women and motherhood? By means of group discussions and recourse to concepts of psychology, the author traces how gender images are carried forward over three generations. The study takes an in-depth look at gender constructions under National Socialism and shows that images of men and fathers from the Nazi era too, influence the lives and attitudes of living generations.
