Labor law in family businesses is still an unexplored area. This pioneering study examines the possibilities and limitations of a special labor law for family businesses and identifies fields of application. Founded on a concept of family business (based on legal theory), the focus is on the concretization of legal terms that are especially open to interpretation and general clauses. The study also provides a first comprehensive picture of the real organization of employment relations in family businesses.
