The seventh issue of 'Querformat' turns towards images of age and aging in our society - especially in the visual arts, cinema, comics, literature, television, newspapers, and the internet. A special focus is put on the question of how the media partake in portraying Being Old. Examples range from Dürer's mother and Giorgone's 'Vecchia' to Grampa Simpson and Ryan Giggs. The new images of age that 'Querformat' now produces have risen from a cooperation of authors of various ages in a participatory process.
