Laurel is worried about her beloved grandmother, Helen, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. After moving Helen into her marital home, Laurel calls Visiting Angels, an agency providing home care for the elderly. But Laurel is dismayed to discover that there are no nurses available. A few days later, Mrs Miracle appears at her door and slowly reveals herself to be nothing short of a godsend.
